Kristin: Artist Statement

My painting is about my journey through addiction. The words capture what it took to maintain long-term sobriety. The road is winding, because recovery is not a straight line. I found recovery and at first I recovered quietly. Then, I realized I needed to recover out loud, and I felt called to do more. That is why I started Grit and Grace sober house for women.
