Karyn: Artist Statement
Doug is my son. He died in 2021. He loved NYC, and he worked in a Michelin star restaurant as a server. He loved food. He loved people, especially watching people. I think he was terribly lonely, too, even in this city of millions. When he was 13, he wrote a list of things he wanted to accomplish called “LIFE”… he wasn’t able to finish it.
