John: Artist Statement
My piece represents the lightening up of the psyche through the journey and doing the work. The movement in the purple represents turmoil and chaos. The whitish yellow is my movement through the chakras, or where I have felt movement in my body–from my pelvis, through my belly and into my head–as I moved through each stage of my journey. The red is my heart. The oranges and yellows and reds are the light and the fire and the freedom of those burdens being burned off and lifted.
